Principal’s Message

As principal of St Mary’s Special School, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our school website. I became principal of St Mary’s here in Delvin in September 2022. I am honoured to work in partnership on a daily basis with a team of highly skilled, dedicated and professional staff.

Please enjoy finding out about who we are, what we do and why St Mary’s could be the best school placement for your child.

Here at St Mary’s, we provide an educational experience to pupils with designated abilities termed moderate and severe and profound general learning disabilities and those with autism. Our pupils are aged between 5 and 18 years.

St Mary’s is a warm, welcoming and happy school where individual pupil strengths, talents and achievements are recognised and celebrated from an early age.

Our website showcases the wealth of experiences that we currently offer to our pupils and additionally showcases what we can offer to prospective new pupils and their parents.
